Contact List
Q. How do I add a contact list?
A. Log in to Zift 123 and follow the instructions on this page.
Q. How do I filter or segment my email list by a contact list attribute?
A. In Zift 123, click the Contact List tab then click the list that you want to segment. Click the Segmentation link (shown in the following screenshot) and follow the steps in the wizard.
Q. How do I add a new attribute to my contact list?
A. In Zift 123, click the Contact List tab and then click the list that you want to modify. Click "Manage" within the "Available Fields" section and follow the steps.

Q. How do I add contacts to an existing contact list?
A. There are 2 ways: upload a file with contacts or add them manually. In both cases, click the Contact List tab and then click the list that you want to update. To add a new member manually, click the "Add a member" link. To upload from a list, click the "Import a file" link and follow the steps on this page.
Q. Who can view and access my list of contacts?
A. Only Zift 123 users within your company who are granted access to your list. Specifically, any user in your company with "Admin" or "Manage Lists" permissions can view or modify your list. Any user in your company with "View List Members" permission can view your list but cannot update it.
Q. Can I add a form on my website so that customers can subscribe to my email list?
A. Yes. In Zift 123, click "Contact lists" and choose the list that your visitors can join. In the "Integrate to your website" section, click "Subscription Form." Paste the HTML into a web page on your website where you want the form to appear.

Newsletter Programs
Q. My logo does not look right in the email. What do I do?
A. If your logo appears too large or too small, you need to resize it. We recommend using a free online resizing utility such as shrinkpictures.com or Photoshop if you have that software available.
Q. How do I add my own article to the newsletter?
A. Navigate to the Program Summary page of the newsletter and click the pencil icon under Options. When the newlsetter displays, locate the "Add Article" button and create your article.
Q. How do I add a picture or image to my article?
A. From the HTML editor, click the Insert/Edit Image icon from the toolbar. Enter the image properties and then click "OK".

Q. Can I send more than one newsletter to different email lists?
A. Yes. Navigate to the Syndicated Marketing tab within Zift 123 and then click the Programs sub-menu. Create another instance of the newsletter by clicking the "Create program" button under the appropriate list and follow the steps on this page.
Q. How do I link to a PDF or video in my article?
A. From the HTML editor, click the Insert/Edit Link icon from the toolbar. Enter the link properties and then click "OK".

Q. Can you export a list of the people who responded to the newsletter? If so, how do you do that?
A. Yes. To export a list of the people who responded to the newlsetter click the Campaigns tab. Click the newsletter name and then rollover the Opened by recipient field. Click the "Who opened" link. At the bottom of the list of opened emails, click the "Export to CSV" link.
Q. My test email does not look right, what should I do?
A. The test email provides you an opportunity to revise and retest your email newsletter before the final newsletter is sent to your customers. Click here to learn more.
Q. How do I send another test email?
A. Click the name of the newsletter to access the Program Summary. In the Schedule Mailings section, click the question-mark icon under Options to send a test mailing.
Q. I want to send a test email to someone else, how do I do that?
A. The Contact name and email address is the person that receives test emails. To send a test email to another person, navigate to the Program Summary page of the newsletter, and edit the Program Contact information.
Email Campaigns
Q. What is the difference between a hard bounce and a soft bounce?
A. A hard bounce is a permanent failure and is most likely caused by an invalid email address. A soft bounce is a transient failure and is most likely caused by a full email inbox or some other temporary condition.
Q. I am going to exceed my monthly email allowance, how can I increase it?
A. To increase your monthly email allowance, navigate to the Account tab and select the Mailings sub-menu. Click the "Add Emails" button to purchase additional email credits.
Q. How do I ensure certain emails do not get mailed to again? What is a suppression list?
A. To ensure emails do not get mailed to again, add them to a suppression list. Suppression lists are found on the Contact List tab and can be added or imported by email or by domain. Emails on a suppression list will be filtered out from all mailings.
Q. Can you explain the metrics in the email report?
A. Email statistics are available through the Delivery Overview, Opens, and Clicks on links areas. The Delivery Overview provides information on the number of emails sent, the number of emails that couldn’t be sent (bounces), and the number of emails that were delivered. The Opens area provides details on the number of emails that were delivered, the number of emails that were opened by the recipients, and the total number of times all recipients opened the email. The Clicks on links area provides statistics on the number of recipients that click on a link, the total number of times a link was clicked, and the total number of recipients that clicked on at least one link.

Leads
Q. How are leads sent and who can see them?
A. Leads can be collected from forms that are associated with newsletters, email campaigns, and web site panels. When a lead is captured, designated users at the partner (not the manufacturer) are notified by email. All leads are always available in Zift 123. Your manufacturer's access to the leads is based on their internal policy. Please contact us if you have questions about this.
Administration
Q. How do I add a team member?
A. Click the Account tab and then click the "Create a new user" button. Enter the user's personal information and then click the "Save" button.
Q. How do I remove a team member?
A. Click the Account tab and locate the user you wish to remove. Click the "X" to the right of the team member name / email address and then click "OK" in the confirmation popup.
Q. What are permissions?
A. Permissions are functions within Zift 123 that are made available to the team member by the administrator.
